What is a Japanese drama? From a relative point of view, Japanese dramas are more than just Japanese series played by Japanese people. It is a window into Japanese culture in the past, present, and to some extent in the future. For those who are not used to watching Japanese dramas, the humor associated with some dramas may seem a bit strange and misunderstood. As with other cultures, there are some things that can only be expressed in certain languages and not in the language we are familiar with. Japanese pinoy teleserye are as diverse as Japanese culture.
Unlike American TV-based series, which have seasonal shows every year, Japanese dramas are short-lived. So to speak, it’s short and sweet. Japanese dramas or “J-drama” which are called by fans are usually maintained around 10 to 13 episodes, and if the series is successful, it will usually follow another season and another new Japanese language. Will appear in the drama.
There are various kinds of Japanese dramas such as comedy, romance and mystery. There is something for everyone. The most popular genre is usually romantic comedy. The best of these dramas can maintain good laughs throughout the series and at the same time maintain its romantic value while maintaining the consistency of the main plot. It’s easy to see why this genre has so many followers.
Japanese dramas for Americans may take some getting used to, as the elements contained in Japanese dramas are usually different from those of American television series. Japanese dramas tend to be more emotionally involved than American dramas, and some Americans find them a bit uninteresting because the story doesn’t really start showing until at least episode 2 or 3. However, given the chance, Japanese series are highly addictive and can be very addictive once you get in.
This is why Japanese dramas are so unique. Once you get into the story, so to speak, all in all, it’s very easy to get into the “Jdrama” boom. I just want to watch new Japanese dramas one after another, as if I was bitten by a Jdorama insect.
As for the fans of other TV series around the world, most of the Jdrama fans often fall victim to this bug because of their emotional attachment to the characters and stories. Especially if the actors and actresses are very interesting. One example is Maki Horikita. It’s easy to see why so many fans are so attached to a particular series, which is why they have earned millions of fans worldwide for their sweet and adorable features. Usually, fans of this type will watch all the movies featuring their favorite actor, and some will watch the series, even if they play minor roles.
The point is, it turns out that Japanese dramas don’t just look at the series to see them. It is an outward expression of Japanese culture and people.
