Introduction: 

Windows 10 is a successor of Windows 8.1. It is a series of personal computer operating systems. Manufactured and owned by Microsoft Inc. as a part of Windows NT family of operating systems. The operating system was released in the year 2015. It is the most latest version of the operating system produced by the Microsoft. Windows 10 has received new builds on an ongoing basis. These builds are available at no additional cost to the consumer. The versions of Windows 10 are labelled as YYMM. Y stands for the year of release and M stands for the month of the update released.  The most recent mainstream version of the Windows 10 is Version 1809 released in September 2018. The target market of the Windows operating system is the Personal Computing.

Evolution Of Windows 10:

In the year 2011, at the Microsoft World Partner Conference, The chief of Microsoft’s Mobile Technology Mr. Andrew Lee has said that Microsoft is working to build a single software ecosystem. This software will be accessible in Desktops, Laptops, Mobiles and Tablets. In December 2013, Mary Jo Foley told that Microsoft is operating on an updation of Windows 8 which was codenamed as “Threshold”. The name was given after a planet in Microsoft’s Halo video game. “Threshold” was called as a wave of operating system, functionable at various Microsoft services and platforms. The project was scheduled to release in the second quarter of 2015.

Project “Threshold” finally unveiled curing a media event on September 30, 2014. The “Threshold” was officially came to be launched by the name of Windows 10. Myerson told that Windows 10 is going to be the Most Comprehensive Platform Ever produced by the Microsoft. It was also told that Windows 10 is restoring the features of Windows 7. This was being done to make the experience of the user better.

It was June 2015, when Microsoft officially announced that Windows 10 would launch on July 29, 2015. An ad campaign was run by the microsoft with the title “Upgrade Your World” on July 20,2015. The advertisement was premiered on television in different countries, naming Australia,France, Canada, Japan, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States. The commercial was focussed on the tag which said “A more human way to do”. This advocated the new user friendly features and technologies that were contained by the Windows 10.

Features Of Windows 10:

Windows 10 has reintroduced the Start Menu button which was disappeared in the Windows 8 version. The Start Menu now had two panels, the left panel showed the most used app, most recent app and pinned apps. WIndows 10 also has have a upgraded multitasking feature. In Windows 10 you can create to windows which will be totally different from each other. By the use of this feature you can separate you personal and professional life.  A window for personal life may contain apps like Netflix, Amazon One etc., one with professional can contain, Microsoft Office on the home screen.

 

Being lazy now got more easy. Microsoft has provided Windows 10 sound system with its voice commanding interface Cortana. Now you just have to command and the task will be done by the pc itself. Cortana improves the way user interacts with the device. You can launch Presentation, Search a file or see photos from a particular date by just giving voice command.
