This question is increasingly on the tip of people’s tongues as interest in vaping CBD continues to grow. Over the last couple of years, CBD has been promoted as a miracle remedy for reducing stress, relieving pain and helping people get to sleep. Vaping CBD, specifically, is believed to be the most effective way to take CBD. In this post, I will explain to you a bit more about why this is the case and which of the CBD vape pens available in the UK to go with.
First and foremost, CBD is derived from hemp flower which is part of the cannabis family. However, it differs to marijuana in that hemp plants have very low levels of THC (less than 0.3%) and a much higher concentration of CBD. Due to this, products derived from hemp are legal in the UK provided they contain less than 0.2% THC.
CBD and THC are two of the most well known cannabinoids or chemical compounds found in cannabis plants. They are both believed to have many therapeutic benefits such as helping with cancer treatment, epilepsy and depression. However, THC and CBD are a bit different – THC is the psychoactive compound in cannabis that makes people feel “high” which is why CBD is legal in the UK and THC is not (however, this may change in the next few years as more and more evidence comes out about its positive benefits particularly as it pertains to medical treatments).
CBD, on the other hand, you can’t really “feel” and does not give a psychoactive reaction. It is one of those things that you will take and may not realise it is having an impact until you look back and realise you were a lot more relaxed! I tend to compare it to a cross between a vitamin and xanax!
There are a number of ways you can take CBD with the most effective being vaping. This is because the CBD is almost immediately absorbed into your bloodstream via your lungs. It is also the method by which you get the highest concentration of CBD into your system. The combination of these two things makes vaping have what is called the best “bioavailability”. However, this is not ubiquitous across vaping as it does depend on what type of CBD cartridge you are vaping.

The two main types of CBD you can vape is a CBD e liquid and CBD vape oil. CBD e liquid is a lot weaker than CBD vape oil and is pretty much the same as any other vape liquid but has CBD (hemp extract) blended in with the PG / VG mix. This means you can use any vape device you’d use to vape a traditional e liquid. A CBD vape oil on the other hand, requires a specific CBD vape pen. In the UK, this denotes a vape pen that is powerful enough to heat up thicker oils and extracts – this is often called a cannabis or marjuana vape pen in the US.
Of all the CBD vape pens for sale in the UK, my go to is from Paso. It is a multipurpose CBD vape pen in that you can actually also use it with CBD e liquid cartridges as it has a variable voltage setting so you can select the temperature based on which CBD cartridge you are using. The design of this CBD vape pen is one of the best in the UK – lightweight, silver plated and cool design. And, despite all the glitz and glam of this device it is one of the cheapest vape pens in the UK – coming in under £20. This is amazing for a reusable device of this quality that has far from skimped on functionality.
