Due to the pandemic, all the industries went to a halt. The entertainment field was as much affected as any other. The cinema halls were closed due to which the big screens remained blank. And no new films were being made. But thankfully and gradually the lockdown lifted and cinemas were open for the audience. we are also watching movies online on OTT platforms and some other free movie streaming platforms. This year has been much better than the previous one in terms of new movies and we hope that 2022 will be even more refreshing and interesting.

Let’s take a look at the top 10 upcoming movies of 2022.

  • The Batman:

The movie is set to release on 4th March 2022. It is directed by Matt Reeves and written collectively by Matt Reeves, Peter Craig, and Bob Kane. Robert Pattinson, Paul Dano, Jeffery wright, Peter Sarsgaard, Colin Farrel, Andy Serkis, and Barry Keoghan are the stars of the movie.

  • Avatar 2:

It is a science fiction film, a further part of the story of Avatar 2009. It is marketed as James Cameron’s Avatar. The film is set to release on 16th December 2022, with Zoe Saldana and Sam Worthington in the lead roles.

  • The Flash:

It is an American superhero film based on DC comic character Flash. The film is directed by Andy Muschietti with Ezra miller playing Flash and Michael Keaton, Ben Affleck, and Sasha Calle starring along. The film is expected to be released on 4th November 2022.

  • Black Panther; Wakanda Forever:

This is another American superhero film based on the character of Marvel comics and distributed by Walt Disney Motion Pictures. The release date announced for the film is 11th November 2022. The film is directed by Ryan Coogler. The cast of the film includes Lupita Nyongo, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Angella Bassett, and Dominique Thorn.

  • Mission Impossible 7:

The much-famous Mission Impossible franchise will be releasing the seventh installment next year. The film is directed by Christopher McQuarrie. It is all set to be released on 30th September 2022. The cast of the film shows Tom Cruise in the lead role. The cast also includes Rebbeca Ferguson, Hayley Atwell, and Venessa Kirby.

  • Pathan:

This is a much-awaited SRK movie with John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Dimple Kapadia, and Salman Khan in the cast. The film is written and directed by Siddharth Anand. This has to be one of the biggest releases of Bollywood in 2022.

  • Radhay Sham:

This is an Indian Sci-fi romantic period film, written by Radha Krishna Kumar, starring Prabhas and Pooja Hegde. The film is shot in Telugu and Hindi simultaneously. The release date of the film is 14th January 2022. Prabhas being the most famous south Indian star, the film is very much anticipated.

  • KGF 2:

KGF Chapter 1 was a huge film and people expect the same of KGF Chapter 2. The cast of the film includes Yash, Srindhi Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, and Raveena Tandon. The film is directed by Prashanth Neel. It is set to release on April 14, 2022.

  • RRR:

It is a Telugu action period drama directed by S.S.Rajamouli and produced by DVV entertainments. The film stars Ram Charan, N.T.Rama Rao Jr., Ajay Devgan, Alia Bhatt, and Olivia Morris. The film is set to release on 7th January 2022.

  • Prithviraj:

It is a Hindi language historical period drama directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi and produced by Yash raj films. The film is based on the life of Prithviraj Chauhan. The film is set to release on January 21, 2022.
