1: Study the Format
Use your early prep time to grow as familiar as possible with the exam format. Knowing you won’t be seeing any surprises on the test day will reduce your stress and help you solve the official GMAT questions with more ease.
See the individual sections and the question types in each section. This will enable strategizing for every kind of question.

Then, read the solutions of the questions you struggled with on your mock test to understand your scope of improvement. Now, organize your GMAT prep encompassing your weakest topics and schedule accordingly.
3: Work On Fundamental Skills
Once you identify your gaps, decide what primary skills you need to review. If you have trouble reading the comprehension passages in time or in gathering the necessary details from them, for example, you might need to regularly practice reading materials like newspaper articles or books. Another common area that test-takers need to review is grammar basics, such as parts of speech and sentence structure. Learning or revising grammatical terms and rules will aid you to recognize sentence correction errors more quickly.
Moreover, you might have to reconsider the fundamental math skills tested on the GMAT, such as algebra or statistics and probability and then start working on those areas too.
Your GMAT prep plan should be inclusive of extra prep tools as well. Like it should reveal the flaws in your background by incorporating not just exercise questions and tests but drills and outside readings too. A great example would be referring to a grammar guide or math quizzes in your difficult areas. Doing practice questions and acquainting yourself with the exam format is important, but so is building the underlying skills. All this in combination is significant to your performance on the GMAT. With a strong command over these skills, you can definitely score really well in the exam.
4: Update Your Study Plan as Needed
After you recognize your weaknesses, edit your original study plan to reflect them and give more time to those sections. For instance, if you notice you’re having trouble with timing, use a stopwatch to finish a certain number of questions in a given time limit, and decrease it as you get closer to your exam date. Similarly, if you realize you aren’t good with the GMAT vocabulary words, then use flashcards to test yourself on words that come up repeatedly on the test. It’s good to stick to your original plan but also make sure to renew it based on your progress as you go ahead.
